Dave Asheim is a veteran of up-and-coming technology and software providers with 11 years of mobile technology experience. Before founding Guide by Cell in 2004, he was President of Well Engaged, the largest B2B software provider of web-based chat and discussion software and the pioneers of pre-Google/Facebook social networking. He launched Guide by Cell with the initial goal of bridging the gap between cultural institutions and their patrons, and the business has since expanded to offer mobile technologies to solve a wide variety of problems faced not only by cultural institutions and nonprofit organizations, but government agencies, retailers, major corporations and more. Dave holds a B.S. in finance and an M.B.A., both from the University of Illinois.

As Director of Finance and Administration for Guide by Cell and its sister divisions, Rebekah is in charge of billing and finance for all clients, as well as day-to-day HR duties for the team.
Fred de Guzman
Client Relations Manager
Fred de Guzman comes from a Sales and Customer Service background with over nine years experience. First starting in the financial industry, he now made his way to the Mobile Tech space. He loves working very closely with clients by getting them on board, training them on our platform, and managing their portfolio.
Coming from a strong operations background, Alison joins the team as Executive Assistant, helping the administration team keep things going. She previously aided in the opening of and then managed a restaurant in Oakland, CA and worked as company manager for JETFINITY, Inc.
Vice President of Engineering
David works with our IT staff on all software development, implementation plans and project direction. He is an experienced Software Developer/Programmer and has worked with teams in Canada, China and the United States. He is a graduate of Shenyang University of Technology with a B.S. in computer science.
Senior Software Engineer
Jun joined our team in 2005 with a background in Interactive Voice Response systems. He received a B.A. from Shanghai University.
Sharon joined our engineering team with a background in all aspects of software development, including analysis, design, testing and deployment. She has worked with clients such as Ericsson, HP and Honda on building enterprise applications. Sharon holds an M.S. in computer science from California State University at Sacramento.
Lead Telco Software Engineer
For over 17 years, Kent has designed and built interactive communications solutions for organizations in the US, Canada and overseas, with a focus on telephony and the integration of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) applications and Web technologies. He has worked in unified messaging, patient information delivery, security solutions, and voice and text message applications for e-commerce transactions and is an expert in the telco field.
Leela Rose Romano has over nine years of consultative solution sales experience. She’s lived in the Bay Area for three years, but still has not figured out when to leave her jacket at home. At Guide by Cell, she quickly helps our current partners and clients achieve their goals with her high touch approach to our technology solutions.
At the age of seven, Arouna held her first “rock sale” from the family driveway. Since that first $1.33, she’s made a career of helping businesses and organizations determine the best solutions for driving growth and visibility. A tech nerd at heart, Arouna thrives on all things web and mobile. By day she enjoys connecting people with new technologies. By night she continues her quest for the best ramen and Bulleit Rye Manhattan in SF.
Patty is a results-driven Business Development Executive & Sales Leader with 20 years consultative selling experience within the IT/Technology industry. Originally from New York, Patty enjoys good wine & great food and spends as much time as she can travelling the world.
Managing Director of SponsorMatch
Joseph joins the team spearheading the new division, SponsorMatch, which will pair up cultural institutions with various types of sponsors. He got his start producing Fundraising Events and doing Corporate Sponsorship Development for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. His experience includes sponsorship activations and event production at events like Sundance Film Festival, Toyota Scion Art Gallery, HOPE Outdoor Art Gallery at SXSW, and Mazda & Pepsi touring events across North America.

Katherine is a constant creator of marketing campaigns and promotional strategies, and has over 9 years of experience in online and offline marketing. Just like you, she believes that while desktops and laptops were once the most important products in the industry, Smartphones, tablets and even lightweight notebooks are now the major players that are reshaping the industry. A student herself, Katherine is an advocate of connecting people of like-minds and interests around the world through mobile technology.
As our Visual Designer, Krist channels his high-energy personality into designing all marketing material, both print and digital, for our company. He is also our resident web designer, instilling principles of UX design to both our front-end and back-end platforms. Originally from Los Angeles, he has called San Francisco home for the past 12 years and can give you a list of the best dance classes in the city. He holds degrees in Media Studies from the University of San Francisco and Graphic Design from CCSF.
Powered by caffeine and all things nerdy, Jackie joins the team as a content strategist. She comes with a background that spans music to healthcare, as well as interests in film, news and food. Getting an early start in content creation with blogging and essay writing, she understands the power and magic of the written word and how a simple phrase can change an entire story. And yes, she’s still waiting for either her Hogwarts acceptance letter or her mutant powers to kick in.
