The Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance in Minneapolis, MN has begun using Give by Cell’s Mobile Give service as part of their fundraising efforts. Founded in 1999, the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) is a statewide non-profit organization committed to raising awareness about ovarian cancer, providing support to women and families affected by the disease and funding the research necessary to make a difference against the disease. MOCA’s network is comprised of more than 45,000 supporters and 800 survivors with a variety of programs and initiatives in education, research and support.
“We’re always looking for ways to make giving easier for the public and our MOCA supporters,” said Kathleen Gavin, MOCA executive director. “Our new text to give effort is a way to widen our reach and use new technology to connect with the public at many of our larger events – like the Diva Dash 5K race – and encourage participants to help MOCA support the women and families impacted by ovarian cancer with their $10 donation.”
Donors can text “MOCA” to 20222 to make a $10 donation with the charge applied to their mobile phone bill. To learn more about Mobile Give, please click here.
